This morning Maya had a final COVID test and we are now in quarantine until she enters the Hospital on Monday for her extensive reconstruction surgery. She is expected to be in the hospital for 3-4 days, then be mostly incapacitated for a week, and unable to drive for 8 weeks. There is a good chance that we will be experiencing intermittent production delays in 2022 due to serious medical issues. In October 2021 Maya was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her first surgery takes place January 13th, followed by months of chemo, then finally extensive reconstruction surgery in late Summer 2022. Currently Maya and I make all of the fezzes in our home studio and for the next 6 months my main focus will be on Maya and her recovery. Due to serious medical issues we have to cancel our upcoming shows. Update:We unfortunately need to change our plans for the upcoming months. Due to serious medical issues we will not be able to attend Emerald City Comic Con this year as we had planned in December. We also had to skip Tiki Caliente this month. This will also impact our planned shows thru Spring 2022 as Maya deals with her recent cancer diagnosis and gets through her treatments and future surgeries. Due to the Holidays and our recent Stay At Home orders, we are not able to accurately anticipate shipping times but we do know that we are now (12/14) at the Holiday cutoff for many shipping options.
