Fez-o-rama's 2016 Con Season

The 2016 convention season is fast approaching and while there are a still a few shows that are still up in the air, it is already starting to look like a very busy year for us. Here is a rundown of what we have planned so far:

Despite promising myself that we wouldn't book back to back shows anymore (they are just too draining for our small team) that is exactly how 2016 is kicking off.  

C2E2 March 18-20 Booth #483

This will be our 2nd appearance at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo and they bumped it up to March this time just to keep things interesting. We'll be bringing a selection of our designs including a few surprises and premieres.

WonderCon March 25-27 Booth #1240

Right after we return from Chicago we'll be loading into Los Angeles. That's right, they've changed venues and moved this show up to the LA Convention Center. It's still on Easter Weekend though. Look for us to be a little strung out from the previous week but we'll still happily supply you with velvet head wear.

ECCC April 7-10

Sure we get a week off but then we hit the road for the drive up to Seattle for the Emerald City Comicon at the Washington State Convention Center. Seattle has become a bit of a second home for us, we have friends and family up there, and this is one of our favorite shows of the year. We haven't gotten our booth assignment yet but we should be in the same general area we were last year... unless we're not.

Dapper Day Expo Apr 30 May 1

We're back on our home turf for a rare local appearance at the Disneyland Hotel Exhibit Hall. This will be our first time participating in the expo, and we're really exited to spend the weekend not feeling over-dressed for a change. This is a FREE 2-day event with bands, dancing and lots of shopping. I'm already planning to bring a few special editions for the show.

Tiki Caliente May 12-15

This month finds us out in Palm Springs for another Tiki Caliente weekend of exotic music, amazing artists and some of the coolest people you could ever hope to take over a vintage motor lodge with. We'll be getting back to our tiki roots with new designs, old favorites and vending under the big Palm Springs sky.

Phoenix Comicon June 2-5 Booth #684

We're back on the road in June as we point the car east to Arizona for the Phoenix Comicon. This is one of our bigger shows of the year and a great way to kick off the Summer. So if you are braving the heat of the Arizona desert, escape into the bowels of the Phoenix Convention Center and find us in Booth 684!

Gen Con August 4-7 Booth #371

This is the big daddy of our con year. An air-travel show, 4 days on the con floor, and they pretty much take over the entire down town of the city. We'll be bringing lots of new stuff and a few old favorites. In previous years we were spared the Mid Western Summer weather but 2015 made up for it in spades. If you need find us after-hours, check the frozen yogurt cafe. We work hard and party soft serve!

Dragon Con Sept 2-5

We're finally coming to Atlanta! After many years of being asked if we are doing Dragon Con, we can finally say: Yes we are! Since we are newbies at this show we will only have a small booth but we will be bringing a lot of our new designs. Look for us on the 3rd floor and get yourself fitted for a new fez.

Strange Folk Festival Sept 24-25

This is a new one for us and we're really excited about it. Strange Folk is an indie craft show that takes over Lafayette Square for the weekend. This will be our first time vending in St Louis and one of our rare stops in the Midwest, so if you are in the area be sure to check out this free event.

Alternative Press Expo Oct 8-9

October brings our first show in the Bay Area! Sure it's down in San Jose, but it's worth the drive. We've been looking for a good show in the area for quite some time but it is difficult to get the schedules to mesh. Finally, we have a show in California north of Los Angeles.

We're still finalizing a few more shows for 2016 plus a return to Don the Beachcomber in Huntington Beach. So keep an eye out for future announcements and if you make it to any of these shows be sure to stop by the Fez-o-booth and say hi.
