Week 9 – The Clockwork Fez!
I have been trying to come up with a good embroidery for my steampunk themed lab coat project for some time. Finding the intersection of free time and inspiration is usually the biggest hurdle. So I eventually dug out my pocket watches hoping for some ideas. Anyway while working out this design I figured I would make it one the of Fez 'o the Weeks.
The metallic threads don't photograph very well, but there is actually metallic gold on the surrounding cog and Copper on the main one in the center. While it isn't quite the steam-powered thinking cap I hope to make one day, it would certainly go well with a pair of vintage goggles! ...I may need to go into production with this one!
