First off I want to thank you all for making 2011 one crazy year in Fez-o-rama’ville. Despite all of the turmoil in our lives, it really was a pretty amazing time when it came to fezmongering. We met a slew of amazing new people –well, the people aren’t actually new, I mean sure, there were a lot of new people introduced to the world this year but I’m talking about the old people we just met… not that they are significantly old, a lot of them are younger than I am but, well you get the picture.
Just when you think something as ridiculous as this must have run its course, a whole new world opens up. We did our first comic con with Comikaze, our first H.P. Lovecraft Film Fest and made huge advances in our fez-making techniques.
Now I’m not one to spend a lot of time reminiscing on the past year, I would much rather focus on the future and I can tell you that we have some really cool things headed for 2012. So keep tuned in for all sorts of announcements in the very near future. It is going to be a great year for fezzes but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. 2011 isn’t quite done yet.

Now, I have my own little New Years tradition and it involves one of my favorite things to do. We like to make the transition from one year to the next with a good old fashioned Marx Brothers movie marathon. Nothing puts you in the right frame of mind to face the new year like the absurdist humor of the greatest comedy family to have ever walked the earth. I grew up watching Marx Bros movies and they had a huge influence on me and my sense of humor… plus I personally blame Groucho and a Night in Casablanca for my obsession with fezzes.
