Whew, still recovering from the big day. After 24hrs of dancing, 31 hours of being awake, I managed to get away with nothing worse than a head cold. We had an amazing time! It is events like this that remind me how much fun I have working with the Cult of the Eye. Everyone did an incredible job. The totals are still coming in but word is our team pulled in around $24,000.00 in about 40 days total. I find that astonishing for first big charity event. The Dance-a-thon totals are over $178,000.00! All of the teams did a remarkable job and I for one can't wait to do it all again. It was so much fun hanging out with all of these people.
All in all it was a truly inspiring event. Everything from the venue, the organizers, the bands, the DJs, the teachers and the participants were top notch. It was an honor to be part of something so great.
To paraphrase the great Douglas Adams: We hope to return to our normal fezziness just as soon as we figure out what normal is.
