Fez-o-rama News for 2014
First off, thank you all for an amazing 2013! We’re recovering from the madness of the holidays and we are now settling in for what will be an epic 2014. I can’t begin to express the excitement for what we have in store this year.
Our biggest news of the year is:
Sure we've been talking about this for way too long, but this time we’re actually getting somewhere. Over the next few weeks we will be testing a new installation of a new shopping cart system that will bring many of the features we have wished for to our shop. This will include a better browsing experience, with better search functions. A better customer log-in with all sorts of bonus features and a few new options for payments, product grouping and finally a replacement for the PayPal Gift Certificates that PayPal failed to support on mobile browsers… including Windows 8 (Thanks Metro!)
As part of the new site the blog will be getting merged with the storefront, which for most people will be hardly noticeable, and the whole thing will be better integrated. We haven’t sorted out whether we will be able to successfully migrate everyone's accounts or if we will have to create new log-ins, so stay tuned for more details on that.
In preparation for the big move we are doing some house cleaning. That means a number of our current offerings are getting moved over to the Last Call category. We've already moved a few designs to the soon to be retired status and there will be more in the next week or so. If you have been considering one of these particular fezzes, I suggest you keep an eye on the website as not all of our current selection will make it to the new site.
We’re flying out to Louisiana for our first trip to the Big Easy and we’re bringing a bunch of fezzes with us! Since this is a flying show we won’t be able to bring everything we have but we are planning to bring lots of our favorite designs as well as a few surprises.
