Seattle Fez Up?

07 Sep

image

My wife and I try to make it up to Seattle to visit family at least once a year and we are headed up there this week. As you can see from our last trip we try to meet up with some of our Fez brethren like Howlin’ Hobbit when in town. So the question is: Does anyone want to meet up Friday evening in Seattle?

If you are game let me know. We also tend to hang out at the Crumpet Shop near the Pike for breakfast if you are an early bird. Follow me on Twitter @fezmonger to get any last minute Fez Updates and stalk me as though I were someone far more interesting or worthy.

The Lono Fez

06 Sep

The Lono FezOur latest production fez features the return of one of our most recent designs. The Lono debuted at Tiki Oasis 10 on an extremely limited edition on sueded mahogany velvet. Well those quickly found new homes and at the time of this post, only a single size Small remains. Well for those of you that missed out on the special edition or perhaps were just waiting for a more formal look, we now present the Lono on lava black velvet.

This is one the more traditional looking tiki designs we have done and felt it was only fitting that we have the Hawaiian god of music on a fez. Now if you will excuse me I have a ukulele to practice playing.

The Lono Fez isĀ available for

$55 +shipping

The TWiT Fez!

03 Sep

After a what seemed like an endless delay, the TWiT Fezzes are now up and ready to order!

The TWiT Fez

Don’t know what I’m talking about? You can see Leo and Sarah wearing them every Thursday on iPad Today as part of their App Cap Award segment:

Fez #38 of the Order Of The Fez was kind enough to point this out.

While this will be a limited edition design (I should have enough to make about 100 of these fezzes before we run out of this velvet) we will be continuing to make more. So if your size is not listed, don’t worry more are on the way.

Mid week update

01 Sep

Sheesh! Things have been so crazy since we returned from Tiki Oasis I have now resorted to writing posts on my phone. I had hoped to put together a proper Fez of the Week post on Monday but I spent that time working on new designs. So instead of giving you a new fez I’m going to do a quick rundown of what we are up to.

The Limited Edition fezzes from Tiki Oasis are going fast. In fact all that is left of the Lono is a single Small. While there won’t be more Lonos produced on the mohogany velvet we will be making some on our traditional black wavy velvet. Watch the website for the first batch of those soon.

Speaking of batches, the 1st batch of the Police Call Box fezzes as well as the TWiT Fezzes have started to roll out. The next batches should be ready this weekend and as soon as we catch up with the waiting lists we will post those to the site too.

If you happen to be down South for DragonCon this weekend keep an eye out. Word is a great Fez Uprising might be taking place and a few of our newest styles might be making an appearance.

Finally, it has come to our attention that something must be done about what passes for style in the work place. Our good friends over at Skinny Dog Design Group have taken the initiative and instigated Fez Fridays. Well we will not be remiss in our obligation to support such a worthy policy. I think it is time we spread the word and encourage all of our friends to partake in this endeavor. Watch this space in the coming weeks as we kick-off this off and if you take part in Fez Fridays be sure to document it… there may even be a prize in it for you.

Well my thumbs are growing numb. I better put this phone down.

What an amazing time! Technically we’re still at Tiki Oasis as we check out today, but the big event is now in the history books and we had an absolute blast. It was great to see old friends and meet so many new ones. Thank you all that stopped by the Fez-o-booth to say hi and try on a fez. Speaking of booths, we won the award for Best Decorated Booth!

We finally got to put some faces to the Twitter names, dance to the Hulabilly sounds of The Hula Girls, rub elbows with incredible artists, take part in Iuka Grog’s Ukulele Fantasy Camp, see lots of BurlyQ and even meet a real live mermaid!

Once we get back to town we will post what we have left in the new fez designs to the site.

If you have never been I strongly suggest making plans for Tiki Oasis 11 …and if you have been, we’ll see you next year.
